How to Create an Account
Creating a D-ARTIST collector member account takes less than two minutes and is completely free. Follow this step-by-step walkthrough to get started.
A standard D-ARTIST account allows you to explore curated exhibitions, save artworks to your personal collection, follow verified traditional artists, post comments, and submit acquisition inquiries directly to artists.
Open the Registration Page
Click Register in the top navigation bar or navigate directly to dartist.lk/register. If you already have an account, you can simply click Sign In.
Enter Account Details
On Step 1 of the registration form, provide:
- Profile Picture: (Optional) Upload a clean avatar (JPG, PNG, WebP up to 5MB).
- Full Name: Your real name or preferred display name.
- Username: Choose your unique handle. The system will immediately check availability. This reserves your public URL at
dartist.lk/@username. - Email Address: Used for account recovery, notifications, and inquiry correspondence.
- Password: A strong password. The live password meter guides you to ensure security.
Set Birthday & Art Preferences
On Step 2, you provide a few details to tailor your discovery feed:
- Date of Birth: Required for age verification and safety standards.
- Art Mediums: Select the disciplines you love — such as Charcoal, Watercolor, Oil on Canvas, Graphite, Acrylic, Ink, or Handmade Art. You can search mediums and select multiple chips.
Review & Agree to Terms
Review your profile summary card. Check the agreement boxes confirming you agree to the Terms of Service, acknowledge the Privacy Policy, and understand that this creates a personal member account.
Click Create Account to finalize. You will be signed in immediately.
What Happens After Creating Your Account?
Once your account is active, you have full access to our community features:
- Collector Account: Access your profile at Collector Account to manage your saved art, active orders, and notifications.
- Saved Artwork: Click the bookmark icon on any piece to save it to your personal gallery.
- Direct Orders: Inquire about original physical pieces directly with verified creators.
- Upgrade to Artist: If you are an artist who creates traditional work, you can apply anytime from within your account to become a verified artist via Become an Artist.
